Often children with regular colds and/or ear problems are seen by an ear, nose and throat specialist. Sometimes a tonsillectomy is prescribed or small tubes are inserted. Your child’s good hearing is of great importance for his or her language development. Persons with voice problems are also referred to a speech therapist. It is often said that a speech therapist will hear what an ear, nose and throat specialist has seen. Sometimes a patient with voice problems will, during and/or at the end of therapy be checked by the ear, nose and throat specialist.
